We're with you, at every step
Your first port of call is to contact a Funeral Director. They will assist you in planning and ensure important documentation is provided. They will liaise on your behalf with the staff at Glasnevin Cemetery & Crematorium to ensure the wishes of your loved one are fulfilled.
Family Service and Grave Selection
If your loved one made a pre-plan with Glasnevin Cemetery, pre-purchased a burial space, or if there is an existing family plot, our records department will have a copy of the arrangements and will provide details to your Funeral Director. Contact us to check for pre-made arrangements.
Our experienced staff are also here to advise you and discuss your options if you require a new single or family plot. Glasnevin Cemetery is able to offer burial space for new graves for decades to come. Contact us to make an appointment.

Glasnevin Chapel
The beautiful 19th-century chapel in Glasnevin Cemetery is available for both burial and cremation memorial services. The impressive Hiberno-Romanesque architectures reflects the Catholic Ireland of the period, but services of all denominations are welcome, for up to 150 mourners. (Subject to Covid-19 restrictions).

Milestone Gallery
Following a cremation or burial service, you may wish to hold a post-funeral reception here in Glasnevin. The Milestone Gallery is an elegant, contemporary space overlooking the beautiful cemetery grounds, and can accommodate up to 60 guests for light meals, snacks, tea and coffee. (Subject to Covid-19 restrictions).

Headstones & Memorials
Memories, Preserved in Stone
Typically within 12-18 months of a burial, many families chose to erect a new headstone, or add an inscription to an existing one. To protect the character and beauty of the cemetery there are regulations on the style of monument and graves in each section of the cemetery. The expert stonemasons in our Headstones & Memorials office will work with you to create a custom tribute that honours the memory of your loved one.
